Great new additions to your site. Everyone just keeps improving. But our great weather and great nature is sure to be a help. Better than taking pictures of snow and ice. Betty
Connie, great shots, Mike watch out, she is going to be better than you. Mom
After getting my Canon Rebel and through you web site I sure look at things from a different "angle". I now see things that I have never seen before. The challenge of capturing that "perfect" shot is way cool. Thanks for the inspiration...........Audrey
Dear Connie, Bob, and Mike, What a pleasure it was to receive the Lone Star North Web site link up. The photo.s are of stunning quality ( Mike I was blown away with your butterfly picture ) Connie your pictures reflect a supreme natural eye for a picture, Bob I still have the pleasure of looking at your web page to come. On a personel note I have had a kind of life changing 2008. On the second of January I had a major heart attack spending 4 days in the Critical care unit of my local hospital, Following my release from hospital and a further week of diagnostic cardiac tests ( at this time I could only walk fifty yards without being completely out of breath with severe angina pains )I had my final local evaluation at 5pm on the Thursday evening. At 9.15am on the following Friday morning I received a call from the Cardiac team at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne. The message was terse and to the point " We are looking at the down load of your last heart test.. The blood supply to your heart is so minimal you will not survive the existing waiting period for coronary heart bypass surgery" We want you here at the Freeman hospital on Monday for a heart bypass operation on Tuesday. I had a triple heart bypass the following Tuesday which went well and was told on the Friday that I could go home on the Sunday Saturday dawned the 1st of March my 65th Birthday.. At lunch time my intensive care nurse said I was strong enough to take a shower .. after taking the shower I returned to the Intensive Care ward and sat on the side of my bed, !!!!!....... Iopened my eyes to look up from the ward floor at the entire hospital Cardiac crash team.... with more alarms and a nurse calling out " get his family ". I had been clinically dead for circa 3 minutes and had been returned to this world with a thump from a defibrillater unit, During that birthday afternoon I had four further thumps with a defibrillater.. and was then stabilised later in the evening. On the Monday I was advised that I would be fitted with a ICU Defibrillater inplant devise, This was duly carried out on the following Thursday the operation going without a hitch ( another one and a half hour operation ( total time Four hours for the bypasss + one and a half hours for the inplant total five and a half hours. One release on the Fiday from the Freeman hospital I returned to my home. On the Monday I was able to walk 5 miles without being out of breath and without any angina a truly amazing gift of my quality of life. Well today in mid August 2008 I feel fantastic .. as if I was in my forties not sixty five. I have retired from Innovia and HAVE BEEN INVITED BACK IN THE ROLL OF A cONSULTANT and have set myself up in business as a Sole Trader, I have invested in a new 5000 dollar HD Video camera, and a pair of Pentax DSLR cameras and seperate lenses 6.1 and 10.4 mega pixel resalutions. I now no longer live to work but having two pensions and my consultancy income work to keep my brain sharp ( my choice in the number of days per week I work as a consultant ) My future plan is to enjoy every day the good Lord grants me on this good earth.. I follow Connies dictat.....leave nothing but foot prints. With regards to travel if the Smeets family would agree I would like to fly out and meet up together a a mutually convenient date. Would the Smmeets team consider setting up a one off photography shoot / teach in course for a very keen enthusiast who is green with envy at the stunning photos the Smeets team are taking. Later this week I will be on line from my home office and will forward my internet address to you. With the Warmest of Regards to you all from your friend Barry Fizell Consultant Frizell Consultancy Services.
