The blue jay eats fruits, acorns, seeds, nuts, insects, mice and frogs.

Sometimes a blue jay will raid a nest for eggs and young birds.

 

 

 




 

 

 

They particularly love peanuts

The blue jay is very aggressive and territorial.

Groups of blue jays often attack intruders and predators.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The blue jay does, however, save many a bird life.
 They are one of the first and loudest to scream alarm if a hawk or some such predator is in the area
