I came across this red shouldered hawk in the forest

She kept squawking and looking up.
so I followed her gaze and found her offspring
up in a nearby tree.
I have seen a few hawks in my backyard
This red shoulder hawk is watching the activity around my feeders.
One day...
I found this patch of feathers in the yard and then discovered
a hawk with a dove for breakfast.
They are birds of prey after all.

Had to stop the car on the highway to catch these two together.
